Project Description: The first Creative Analysis project asked students to explore one or more significant musical features of an artist or song of their choice in a brief, 10-15 minute Podcast Episode. This project required students to analyze the Harmony, Rhythm, Melody, and/or Texture of a song/artist and identify concise audio excerpts that illustrated that musical feature. Then, students planned and produced a Podcast Episode using DAW or DSP software that communicated their analytical findings in an accessible manner suitable for general audiences.
